CONTRIBUTING YOUR PIECE TO THE PUZZLE

EUR-OCEANS has selected the World Data Centre for Marine Environmental Sciences (www.wdc-mare.org) as its data repository because of the fine granularity offered by their relational database infrastructure, i.e. each data point is associated to a complete metadata description, thus exceeding the current international metadata standards. Digital datasets that are submitted here are thus required to meet the standards of WDC-MARE. Each delivered data set remains the property of its research institution and WDC-MARE gets non-exclusive rights to copy, archive and provide online, free, public access to data sets using the information system PANGAEA. The data policy that applies to data sets archived at WDC-MARE is that of PANGAEA
